We are looking for an experienced HR Lead to manage end-to-end human resources operations for a manufacturing/plant setup. The role will partner closely with plant leadership and business teams to drive workforce planning, employee engagement, talent management, industrial relations, compliance, performance management, and HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end HR operations for the manufacturing/plant workforce.
- Partner with Plant Head and business leaders on manpower planning and workforce requirements.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, transfers, promotions, and employee movements.
- Manage employee relations and address employee grievances effectively.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Handle performance management processes, goal setting, appraisals, and talent reviews.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and company HR policies.
- Manage attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and other HR administration activities.
- Support and manage Industrial Relations (IR), including workmen-related matters, disciplinary actions, and union interactions where applicable.
- Maintain HR MIS, dashboards, manpower reports, attrition analysis, and other HR metrics.
- Support audits and ensure proper maintenance of statutory and employee records.
- Work with business leaders to implement HR policies and organizational initiatives.
- Drive productivity, manpower optimization, and employee cost initiatives.
- Support succession planning and development of key talent within the organization.
- Ensure effective communication of company policies, processes, and employee initiatives.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HR operations and HR Business Partnering.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing/plant HR.
- Good understanding of Industrial Relations and labour laws.
- Experience managing both white-collar and blue-collar/workmen populations.
- Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution skills.
- Good knowledge of recruitment, performance management, engagement, and talent development.
- Strong analytical and HR MIS skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Educational Qualification
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline.
Preferred Experience
- 7–8 years of HR experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing/plant HR.
- Experience working with plant leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to labour compliance, IR, union management, and statutory compliance will be an advantage.
- Experience with HRMS/ERP systems and HR analytics is preferred.
